Child Care Support When You Need It

Free Child Care for Military Families

Mission Watch provides up to 2 hours of FREE child care for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years for active-duty service members and their spouses. Families can use this time for job searches, appointments, education, self-care, PCS support, TAD support and other important needs. Employment-seeking spouses receive priority when space is limited.

Program Overview

  • Flexible care options with a maximum of 2 hours per child, per day
  • Additional hours may be available based on needs
  • Care must be scheduled in advance
  • Registration and orientation are required before care can begin

Mission Watch is available to active-duty service members and their spouses with children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Employment-seeking spouses receive priority when space is limited, with care available for other family needs as space allows.

To participate in the Children’s Waiting Room Program, please complete the following steps:

Sign up for a FREE Armed Services YMCA membership
Add all children who may use the service to your membership account
Register for Mission Watch Program in DAXKO
Add at least one authorized pickup person
Add an emergency contact other than the parent/guardian
Complete all enrollment forms for each child
Child Development Center Application
Provide current immunization (shot) records for each child

Required documents may be uploaded to your online account or brought with you on your first day of service.
